Steel Grade Metallurgy

Q345B: yield ≥345 MPa, tensile 470–630 MPa, impact toughness ≥34 J at −20°C (longitudinal, Charpy V-notch per GB/T 1591). Q420: yield ≥420 MPa, tensile 520–680 MPa. Low-temperature impact verification mandatory for cold-region projects below −10°C ambient. Mill certificates with full chemical composition and mechanical property traceability provided per heat number.

Welding Integrity

Full-penetration structural welding per AWS D1.1 / EN 1090-2 execution class EXC3. 100% Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) via ultrasonic protocols (UT per ASTM E164). Acceptance criteria: no linear indications exceeding 3 mm, no rounded indications exceeding 6 mm. Anti-Corrosion Specification
